Beulah’s Butterfly Ranch

Howdy, we are a 60 acre bee, butterfly, and bird preserve located outside of Kansas City, Kansas. It is two fields of native wildflowers and grasses to give the smallest and most vulnerable creatures in our ecosystem a chance to thrive again. I work, with my golden retriever Reptar, out on the farm in my off time from my other labor job. I weed everything by hand or use a push mower I’ve bought off of marketplace. It’s important that I use as little herbicides as possible out here to ensure the insects can establish a home. I hope to build a barn that is a nature center and walking paths so the public can come and learn about the beauty and importance of native plants and animals. I also want to create a third space for the area. A place where local people can meet up and swap stories about their day without the expectation that they will have to spend money. Any donations would be used on equipment, seeds, extra labor, and building the barn and walking paths. Let’s have a place to come and take pictures for free, to spend time with your loved ones and learn a little about nature, while helping the critters around you.
