Solarpunk Art Lab for kids at our community 'Nounish Art School' 🌱⚡🎨 About the Nounish Art School The Nounish Art School is a community in Trujillo, Peru, where kids and young people explore art through hands-on workshops, creative projects, and experimentation for free! The Art Lab We want to create a small Solarpunk Art Lab inside the school: a hands-on workshop where kids explore how art, technology, nature, and sustainability can come together. The goal is simple: give kids the opportunity to build, grow, and imagine a better future through creative projects. Experiments/Workshops in the lab: ☀️ 1. Solar-Powered Art Kids will use small solar panels, LEDs, and simple motors to create small kinetic or illuminated artworks. Sunlight → energy → art. 🌱 2. Plant & Create Kids will plant small trees or plants and create their own decorative pots using recycled materials. The activity connects creativity with growing and caring for something living. ♻️ 3. Solarpunk Zines Kids will create handmade zines imagining their ideal sustainable future. Using recycled paper, packaging, magazines, and other discarded materials, they will draw, collage, write, and design their own visions of a more sustainable world. Why? We believe technology and sustainability don't have to feel distant or complicated. What will $250 fund? -Mini solar panels, motors, wires -Small trees/plants and soil -Workshop and 'lab' supplies Also, we'll provide digital certificates validated by the state at the end of every workshop! :) Your vote will help more kids access a playful framework to explore the future through art!
