Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using nohotdog.love ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use No Hotdog.

2. What No Hotdog Is

No Hotdog is a membership-based community. Members subscribe to one of three tiers (Starter, Supporter, or Lover). The net amount of each payment — after Stripe processing fees — is allocated across recipient projects according to the allocation period published at the time of purchase.

Membership fees are not tax-deductible charitable donations. Impact estimates displayed on the site are approximations based on third-party research and should not be taken as guarantees of specific outcomes.

3. Accounts

Accounts are created via Google or Apple sign-in through our authentication provider, Clerk. You may only maintain one account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) through Stripe. Prices are as displayed at the time of subscription. We never store your payment credentials — all payment processing is handled by Stripe. We reserve the right to change pricing for future billing periods.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your dashboard. After cancellation, you retain access through the end of your current billing period. Subscription payments are non-refundable.

6. How Funds Are Allocated

We publish the active allocation period for membership revenue, including how net funds are split between the Impact Fund, microgrants, and supported recipients during that period. Allocation percentages and supported recipients may change over time, but each payment remains tied to the allocation period that was active when it was processed.

7. Microgrants & Voting

Community microgrants will be unlocked once No Hotdog reaches 100 active members. Members will have the ability to vote on funded projects. If the 100-member goal is not reached, microgrant funds will be redirected to the Impact Fund. No Hotdog retains final discretion on which projects receive funding.

8. Email Communications

We may send you updates about your impact, new projects, and community news. You can opt out of these communications at any time via your profile settings. Transactional emails — such as payment confirmations and account changes — will always be sent regardless of your preferences.

9. User Content & Profiles

You may create a profile including a username, display name, and bio. A public/private toggle controls visibility. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms. By creating profile content, you grant No Hotdog a non-exclusive license to display it within the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific outcomes from charitable projects and are not responsible for the actions of third-party charity organizations.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, No Hotdog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
